They are already here and they promise to stay long. In just two and a half years, they have performed more than 80 concerts in Catalonia, Andalusia, Extremadura, Basque Country and France. They have succeeded in all those places, making people knew some of their songs without even still being edited. Gradually, their name start being known everywhere, by word of mouth.
And this has only just begun. They finally decided to record their first album which they have called Todos los días sale el sol and they want to convey the same energy and partying spirit whith which they have contagied far beyond where they have stood. Rumba, reggae, ska, punk and, above all, great fun, unbounded fun and complex, melodies that hook and lyrics that go beyond positivism, heartfelt songs and messages that cross borders.
Bongo Botrako was born from the hand of Uri in a square in his hometown Tarragona, La plaça de la alegría, and which is, in fact, the title of one of the songs included on the disc. The footprint of the street is very touchable in their music: simple and direct, a mixture of many music styles and, at the same time, difficult to classify in any of them. That will undoubtedly enrich the disc and fullfill it with colors and nuances that don't cease to surprise while we reeled it.
Produced by Mario Patiño and edited by Kasba Music, the new album was recorded and mixed this last spring in Atlántida Studio, and has been remastered by Yves Roussel. It also has the collaboration of some friends of the band such as La Pegatina, Che Sudaka, Color Humano and Costo Rico.
At present day, the band is running out to outline for the tour of this album, which will take them to every corner of the peninsula. During the months of October, November and December, you will be able to see them live in Galicia, Andalusia, Catalonia, Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid and Navarra.
Now everything is all settle down and ready to explode. Bongo Botrako takes into action with a powerful and energetic live in which the band gets over from the first to the last song. Stay tuned, the show is about to begin...
