In October 2009, Che Sudaka are set to release their new album Tudo é Possible. A fitting title: after seven years of non-stop tours and more than 700 concerts in 17 countries, these five Argentinean and Columbian musicians have earned the appreciation and respect of audiences and the industry. And they all agree that theirs is one of the most energetic, most emphatic and craziest live shows on the national and international scene.
Che Sudaka started out as illegal immigrants who had to play on Barcelona's streets in order to eat. Now they've carved out their niche on the European scene, with regular appearances at top international festivals, and with fans all over the world - Tudo é Possible!
Once again, Che Sudaka decided to record in their own studio, with the redoubtable participation of Gambeat (bass player with Radio Bemba) whose contribution as producer has definitely raised the bar on the sound quality and composition of this fourth album. And they are releasing it under their own, brand-new record label Cavernicola-Records in co-production with Kasba Music.
In terms of music, Tudo é Possible pushes the ideas behind their previous records further, mixing the power of "Alerta Bihotza" (2005) with the warmth of their most acoustic release to date, "Mirando el mundo al revés" (2007). The album contains 14 fresh tracks that move in the realm of traditional songs... ska... rock... roots-style funk... reggae... cumbia... hip-hop and the odd touch of country, always performed with the high energy they picked up as street musicians. All of it enriched by guest collaborators including B-Negao ...Meri Lopez (Costo Rico)...Madjid Fahem (Radio Bemba)...Bruno (Supermazoo)...Jaime (Pa'LoQueSea)... and a final recital by Facundo Cabral, among other friends who take the musical project even further...
Their multilingual songs are an expression of group's development, spiced up by the extreme positive attitude that drives them and makes them a kind of steamroller of problems... or a gale wind of solutions. The lyrics explore personal experiences and what it means to live together in a world that is getting more "loco" all the time, always with a focus on human values... such as inner peace or self-criticism, as triggers for a better world.
As well as the music, Tudo é Possible is accompanied by a DVD documentary by Carlos Larrondo (director of LT22 La Radio Colifata), which recounts the band's adventures and their most important encounters over the last two years on tours through South America and Europe, and the human connection that arose with social causes such as the Saharaui People... Radio Nikosia... La Colifata... and more. And it also includes fragments of live concerts and two new video clips.
Tudo é Possible! And so Che Sudaka embark on a new stage of their career and are set to launch their masterpiece around the world. Live, as always, we can expect frenetic drums, solid and powerful guitar, bass, the samples and effects that drag us forwards, polyphonic vocals, cumbia and rumba influences, and, of course the crazy show by the brothers who call the shots, Leo and Kacha!
