The duo formed by Xavier Pié and MACC will present “Studio Sessions” in Tarragona

It is his third work and the presentation will take place at CC Antic Ajuntament.

Saxophonist Xavier Pié and guitarist Miguel Alberto Cruz Carmona MACC released “STUDIO SESSIONS” in November 2022 and now they will present it live for the first time in their city, Tarragona, as part of the commemorative events of International Jazz Day, next April 30 The performance will take place at CC Antic Ajuntament at 6:00 p.m. and entry will be free, although invitations must be reserved on the City Council website.

“Studio Sessions” is the title of an EP edited in digital format and integrated by five new musical compositions created and performed by the duo and produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by MACC in Tarragona, which show a summary of the work done during these last three years and with which the musicians open the door to new musical landscapes.

Together, these two musicians have been doing a particular job of research and joint interpretation of sound spaces since 2000. His previous albums, “Rutes” (2013) and “Connexions” (2017), were well received by the public and specialized critics. Contrary to recognizing the boundaries between genres, his music has always wanted to escape labels.
