Periferia have released “Mi alternativa”, the first preview of their upcoming album

After a successful first self-published album (“Fortuna o discordia”).

“Mi alternativa” the new single from Periferia has been released

Periferia is a very young band born in La Roca del Vallès (Barcelona) around five years ago during which they have published several singles, an EP and a first self-published album (“Fortuna o discordia, 2023), with songs that have hundreds of thousands of plays on digital platforms.

With an average age of 22, their last tour included several sold-out concerts in venues such as Almo2bar (Barcelona), Gruta 77 (Madrid), Nave 9 (Bilbao), 16 Toneladas (Valencia) or La Nau (Barcelona), in addition to their first appearances at festivals spread throughout the Peninsula.

Now, “Mi alternativa”, the first single that will be part of their second full-length album (which will be published at the beginning of 2025), has been released.

With powerful rhythms and an imposing musical presence, they explain in the verses of the song what it means to write songs for the band, describes the composition process as a refuge where they can heal, where they can find themselves and, at the same time, as a place from which they cannot escape, like the sweetest of condemnations.

The album has been produced by Pep Miralles, the band’s guitarist, who has recorded guitars and bass in his own studio, while vocals and drums have been recorded by Xavi Escribano at EM Estudi. The mixing and mastering have been carried out by Eñaut Gaztañaga at Gaztain Estudioak. The design has been handled by the group’s drummer, Quel Buscà.

Today at 3:00 p.m. the music video for “Mi alternativa” will be released, directed by Gerard Bufí and Adrià Juhé, with the collaboration of Atòmic! and the participation of Toro Bravo and Mònaco.
