“Això no és una cançó d’amor”, new single and video by Ratpenat, is now on the streets

  • Ratpenat’s new single was released on Friday
  • “Això no és una cançó d’amor” is a satirical take on romantic love
  • Their fourth album, “Camí a l’infern”, will drop next Friday.

Following ‘La dansa macabra,’ Ratpenat are back with the second single and music video from their upcoming fourth album, a track titled ‘Això no és una cançó d’amor’.

As the title suggests (‘This Isn’t a Love Song’), with their signature satire and irreverence, the band takes aim at the basic concepts of social conventions around romantic or platonic love. It’s a song they say isn’t about love, but one that aims to champion the many different ways love can be expressed.

On Friday, March 7th, their new album Camí a l’infern (Kasba Music, 2025) will be released, featuring collaborations with Podri, the lead singer of Rat-Zinger (who’s singing in Catalan for the first time), and David Vázquez, the frontman of Ràbia Positiva.

The music video for this new single was produced by Brain Thunder. This time, Ratpenat take a more upbeat and mellow approach than usual, though they finish with the same bold attitude we’ve come to expect. Like the rest of the album (and all of Ratpenat’s music), the song was recorded at EM Estudi with Xavi Escribano.

The album is now available for pre-order on the Kasba Music website, and includes a free CD of your choice from their extensive catalog.
