Fito Luri presents “Seda i ferro”

  • This coming Thursday, Fito Luri will present the literary side of Seda i ferro at El Círcol in Reus
  • On Sunday, June 22nd, it’s time for the musical side, with a free concert at La Palma, also in Reus.
  • Seda i ferro is a book-album that includes 48 poems, 10 songs, and 48 illustrations by Joan Serramià

“Fito Luri knows how to find the exact word, no doubt about it, and he sings it like an angel. A guardian angel, or one of those that turn your senses upside down, the most direct kind of desire. Fito takes us through the textures of silk and iron, through sweetness and harshness, along the paths of emotion, love and heartbreak, with a heartbeat and rhythm so in tune with our own lives that, in the end, we all become Fito.”

Xavier Graset i Foraster

The singer-songwriter from Reus, Fito Luri, presents his new work, ‘Seda i ferro’ (Silk and Iron), a book-album that brings together words, illustrations, and music.
In this project, Luri returns to his roots by incorporating traditional sounds with instruments like the Irish flute, bagpipes(sac de gemecs), violin, and accordion. Produced by Kandi Álvarez, the work stands out for its vitality and energy, offering a striking contrast to the intense poems that accompany it.
This new release follows the path of Luri’s earlier works, such as Salvar l’ànima (Saving the Soul, 2022, Kasba Music), where he already blended music and poetry in a book-album format.
With Seda i ferro, Fito Luri reaffirms his ability to fuse musical tradition with poetic expression, offering a rich, multidimensional artistic experience that reflects his journey and evolution as an artist.
Seda i ferro plays with contrasts: the hardness and softness, the rawness of words against the warmth of music. Fito Luri’s poems are rough and daring, reflecting life’s scars, emotional wounds, and the depth of human experience. But, as he’s always done, the artist from Reus transforms that pain into songs full of life and hope. His vibrant melodies, lively rhythms, and rich instrumentation provide a counterbalance to the most piercing verses, creating a delicate harmony between harsh reality and the longing for light.
In this sense, Luri sings to balance the pain, to find a space where the beauty and energy of music can heal what words reveal.
