The Lleida singer Neptú releases his new single “MCFLY”

Neptú is the musical project of Vicent Monfà, an artist and producer from Lleida. His songs draw from genres such as rap, dub and drum & bass. His professional career began in 2014 as the keyboardist and producer of the reggae band Koers. Over the years he has accumulated songwriting credits and collaborations with artists like Macaco, Els Catarres and Lil Dami, and in 2018 he composed TV3’s Summer Song, “Despertem el Món”. The following year, Vicent launched his personal project, Neptú, with which he has released numerous singles and an album (“Desperta”, 2022).

He now presents his new single, “MCFLY”, created in collaboration with producer Argibtzz.

One of Neptú’s distinctive features is his lyricism, often rooted in science fiction. Some of his songs explore dystopian futures, time travel, intergalactic exodus, love between machines… In this spirit, “MCFLY” tells the first-person story of someone whose life is nearing its end. In these final days, the protagonist cannot stop thinking about a long-lost love he willingly left behind. Consumed by this late-blooming regret, he decided to travel back in time to meet his younger self and convince him never to let that love go.
