- En Carlus has released the music video for “Els Contrabandistes”
- The video is a compilation of footage from the Barcelona launch concert of his debut album, “La Cova”
- He will present it live on March 14 at Sala Clap, in his native Maresme region
En Carlus is the musical project of Carles Escrig, a musician from Arenys de Munt who, with his first album “La Cova” (Kasba Music, 2025), channels his passion for roots and singer-songwriter music. The record blends sounds ranging from folk to ’70s rock, touching on psychedelia, protest songs and even the traditional Cuban-influenced habanera style. His garage rock inspired adaptation of the traditional Catalan song “Els Contrabandistes” brings the album to a close.
The video accompanying “Els Contrabandistes,” directed by Jordi González, takes viewers back to the album’s launch concert, held on December 6 at Sala Upload in Barcelona. On that night, En Carlus performed with his regular band and was joined by all the guest artists featured on the album: El Pony Pisador, La Rauxa, Ros, Golconda, Fetus…
The Maresme homecoming show will take place on March 14 at Sala Clap in Mataró, a special opportunity to experience and sing along to the songs from “La Cova,” once again joined by these outstanding collaborators.
