Singer Aiala returns alongside producer Dive Dibosso with «Mente»

After almost three years of professional silence, Barcelona-based singer Aiala returns to the scene with «Mente», an introspective yet irresistibly catchy and danceable track that captures «the conversations I’ve had with the source of creation, back when I believed I couldn’t write anymore. Three years on from «Agraïda», a lot has changed, but my drive to create and to sing is just as strong, if not stronger.»
As proof of that drive, Aiala teamed up with celebrated Barcelona producer Dive Dibosso, a Grammy winner for his work with the legendary 7 Notas 7 Colores, to deliver an electronic funk track that, in her words, helped her «realize that every shade is necessary to understand the full picture being painted. The calm of knowing, and the urgency of doing. The magic of creation. Getting to know yourself in order to understand and enjoy, from the inside out. Ups and downs until you find the open door, the way forward.
For a long time, my mind, like Alice’s rabbit, lived by the motto ‘no time to lose’, until I understood that no time is ever truly lost, because without it there would be no songs, no reasoning behind my thoughts. Understanding that ‘motto’ also led me to surrender and keep moving forward, and with that came calm into my life, the calm of knowing I can do this. The calm to keep building. It’s all in my mind. »
Both artists say the album is well underway, with a release planned before the year is out, and that it will be preceded by further singles in any of the three languages the singer will be using on the record: Catalan, Spanish and English.
